We inherited a couple of metal chairs (circa 1950's) from my parents. After one broke, we wanted something similar because they were so comfortable. I was surprised that I was able to find the Thunderbird metal chairs online. We purchased two chairs and are extremely pleased with them.

We recently purchased two of these Thunderbird Metal Lawn Chairs, and were so happy with them that we already ordered and received two more of the chairs and a Retro Metal Patio Table! We love them sooooo much! I was originally looking to buy some of the Bellaire style like I remember my Grandparents having, but I saw and fell in love with these. I will be recommending them to everyone I know, they are comfy, sturdy and so cool!

I just received my metal lawn chair and I love it. I ordered one to make sure that I liked it, and after I got it home I decided to order one more so I would have a pair.

The chair is sturdy and bouncy just like I remember the old ones were. Hardest thing for me was picking out the color. I went with the sea foam green to match my house trim.

I bought one of these chairs for a friend that has three original Thunderbird chairs and has mentioned several times he would like to find another one. The ones he has were given to him by his parents. We decided a fourth chair would be a great birthday gift!

Very nice piece. Reminds me of the one my parents owned. The nylon threaded screws are a great idea as I could remember having to tighten the old screws up or you would fall on your rear with my parents one. The quality is great. Make sure you have a good open space to assembly this one as it is best to be able to move around it freely.

We chose the Biscayne Set for our son's wedding gift. The happy couple loves to entertain out-of-doors and we felt the set would be a perfect fit. They received the set in less than five days from our ordering it, had it assembled in no time, and enjoyed it that evening. They were thrilled with the look of the set and its quality.

I bought two of the red chairs for my husband's Birthday (he recently saw a metal chair at a relative's house and "wished they still made those"!), and they're wonderful! Sturdy, comfortable and fun : )

We wanted them on the flagstone patio instead of grass, so I got two thick outdoor doormats to put together under each chair -- fits perfectly and saves the metal.

I bought two of these in maroon for my porch. I am a 68 year old widow and I was able to assemble them by myself with the tools provided. They look amazing on the porch and are a great place to sit, relax and enjoy the sunset.

I have purchase 4 chairs and a table from Retro. They arrived in such a short time and were very easy to put together. Friends rave about them. I would high recommend Retro!

I wasn't looking for these chairs. But once I found the webpage - there was no looking back. These chairs brings back memories. I ordered two of the green-green was the only color I saw growing up. They were easy to put together. Not only do I love them but my family loves them. I didn't get to sit in them right away-I had to wait my turn. These are in my back yard and I just love to look at them. I do rock my grandson in them. Like I said-Love Them Love Them

These are awesome. Assembly was very easy. Noticed some obvious implrovments from original chairs I sat in as a kid. Stainless bolts and nylon bushings, Only 2 tools to assemble entire chair. Colors are bold and retro. I got 4 different colors. Couldn't be happier. Calls to staff to confirm order and verify shipping dates were returned same day. Don't bother refurbishing old rusty chair. It will cost you as much as these, not to mention your time. GREAT PRODUCTS!!!

I ordered this chair to replace my grandfather's chair - an original from the 50's. This chair is much sturdier. It was easy to assemble. Great to sit in. I love the brigt color.

I bought two of these chairs. One was green and the other yellow. Yes, my hubby is a Green Bay Packers fan!! I used to see these at every motel growing up, and my parents had some forever, and my Sister had them for years!! I just love my new chairs and our neighbors keep asking where they can get them. I feel like a kid again. These are great chairs. Built well and great bright colors. I will buy more.

Very nice piece of furniture. Easy to assembly and looks great. The quality is A1. My only complaint is I wish it was a bit taller as I am pretty tall.

My wife and I have a Bellaire Double Glider on our front porch, and we have a set of Bellaire chairs and patio table, and we love them. A great set of lawn furniture.

I bought my wife a Bellaire Double Glider and two Bellaire Single Gliders for Mother's day. She loves them. We picked two blue singles and a red double. Backs and seats are interchangeable so we now have a red single, blue single, and red and blue double. Real Americana red, white, blue theme on the patio.

While the items were easy to put together, I found what I consider a design flaw that needed to be fixed. The chair back brace is a friction fit to the end of the chair arm. I found it necessary to drill holes and attach the chair back brace with additional stainless steel fasteners so as to make the chair more rigid. I needed to do this for both singles and the double glider. A handyman can easily make this correction. But a little change in the manufacturing and the addition two bolts and nuts would rectify the problem for the mechanically challenged.

Love the glider and finally figured out how to assemble it.

Shipped promptly and received in excellent condition. Found instructions OK, but a little confusing in some sections. Luckily my wife figured them out. Everything fit well, and the glider looks and works fine. The only thing not perfect is it sits a little too low to the ground for taller folks.

Excellent glider. Easy to assemble and all pieces aligned and fit as intended. Had one issue with some missing hardware, but customer service was great and immediately sent the correct items. Now I need to order side tables.

All the parts were there! It's the first time I didn't have to replace something that was missing. The directions were so easy to follow. The first glider was a bit tough but I was a champ after the second glider and by the double glider I was perfection. Well, almost. These are so pretty sitting on the front porch of my 100 year old house. Thanks for such a wonderful product and at a very affordable price!

We own 2 of these Gliders, the best buy I ever made! I searched for over a year for outdoor furniture and I decided on this product and company. I love them! They are well made,easy to clean, and very comfortable. One of the added pluses is you can mix and match the colors. I also own the chairs and side tables!

We ordered this with a set of 2 chairs and a table. Fast shipment of a quality product. The chairs went together so easy, the glider took a little more time but not too bad. The fit and finish are beutiful. We love our New - Old Chairs and Glider.!. They are as much fun to look at as they are to sit on. We would absolutley buy from Torrans Mfg or Retro Metal Chairs again

Fast shipping on an almost perfect item. Had one defective bolt but there is a spare included with the kit. It is a quality piece of equipment and goes together fairly easy but I agree with one reviewer who said that there should be a bolt for the slip joint. It's the only joint on the whole glider that does not bolt together and can slip out if picked up to move by the chairs but not a big deal. Also, the packing for the main frame and chair frame was a black rubber, neoprene like, foam that stuck so badly to the ends of the parts that I could not get it off. I called the factory and they gave me instructions on the best way to remove it. Bottom line is TONS of elbow grease and although it all came off you can still see a slight dark tint where the rubber was. The factory offered me a discount and I took it but was not happy as they said that my glider should have been sold as a second. I was in a bind as it was a gift and I needed to complete it that day, otherwise, I would have sent it back! Now I don't know if my purchase is considered a second or not or if I can send it back under warranty if something happens to it As there are NO RETURNS on seconds!
